Tanner Tomak as Laurie

Been in musicals since: This is my 3rd year in musicals.

Will you be singing: Yes.

What interested you in this role: I liked that it wasn’t a major role to start off.

What is unique about your costume(s): There’s a lot of sweaters!

Favorite song: 5 Forever because its upbeat and happy.

What have you done to prepare: We started rehearsing as soon as school started, practicing 3-4 hours 5-6 times a week!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an actor: Give it your all and don’t give up.

Are you nervous: Yes, I’m not good with getting up in front of people.

Zachary Stiles as Professor Bhaer

Year: Sophomore

Been in musicals since: This is my second year.

Will you be singing: Yes a duet and solo.

What interested you in this role: All of the characters were available but this is my first lead role so it’s been a lot of fun!

What is unique about your costume(s): It’s different – old Civil War style… Not something you’d wear today.

Favorite song: Some Things are Meant to Be

What do you think the audience will like the best about the musical: The way the characters interact with each other and how relateable they are… Like my character is a 35-year-old German Professor and I find myself able to relate to him often.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an actor: Have fun no matter what – musicals can be difficult but being confident is key.

What lesson have you learned from this musical: Don’t let people make decisions for you, do what you want to do and what makes you happy.

Jack Brown as John Brooke

Year: Freshman

Been in musicals since: 2nd grade.

Will you be singing: Yes a duet.

What interested you in this role: I researched the character before auditioning and I liked his personality – he’s nice, nervous and funny. I love acting and singing. I think it’s great that the high school has musicals.

What is unique about your costume(s): The outfits are sophisticated!

Favorite song: 5 Forever.

What do you think the audience will like the best about the musical: The development of the characters as they go on.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an actor: Be your character – the audience gets to know the character through you.

Are you nervous: No, I’m prepared and excited.

Danica Teodoro as Aunt March

Year: Senior

Been in musicals since: This is my fifth musical.

Will you be singing: Yes.

What interested you in this role: Aunt March is a really animated character and I like what she sings.

What is unique about your costume(s): They’re colorful, different, and old style-corset shaped.

Favorite song: Astonishing, it gets me excited!

Least favorite song: Delighted, it’s overdone!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to partake in musicals: Learn to love the show even if you didn’t know it before.

Avery Schanno as Marmee

Year: Senior

Been in musicals since: This is my seventh musical.

Will you be singing: Yes, two songs by myself.

What interested you in this role: How low Marmee’s voice is, I’m a low singer so it works perfectly.

What is unique about your costume(s): They’re all tailored and custom, and I have a hoop skirt!

Favorite song: My favorite song that I sing is Here Alone, but my overall favorite is Most Amazing Thing.

Future plans: I want to be a music teacher.

Are you nervous: Nope!
