Edwin E. Price, 81 of Edison Manor, New Castle, formerly of Ellport passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in UPMC Jameson.
Born in Ellwood City on June 16, 1936, Ed was the son of the late Kenneth and Dora Belle Palm Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former, Dawn M. Hazen, who passed away on May 23, 2017, they were married in 1953. Ed and Dawn were both active members of the First Christian Church. Ed was a machine operator at the Aetna Standard in Ellwood City where he was also the Union Steward. After the Aetna closed Ed worked as a repairman for Sears in New Castle.
Surviving is a son, William L. Price of Mercer.
Besides his parents, step-father, Lloyd Kettler and and wife, Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, David “Tony” Price and Larry J. Price.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM with Ed’s pastor, Rev. Thomas A. O’Brien. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
