Mary E. Fabian, 101

Mrs. Mary E. Fabian, 101, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday October 13, 2017 at the Beaver Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Fabian was born on March 5, 1916 in Canonsburg to the late Damiano “Domenic” and Maria Difonte (DeFonde) Viccari. She had worked at Ellwood Products, the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, Roberts Manufacturing, Jesse Jeans, and as a house keeper in the Ellwood City area. She was an active member and kitchen volunteer at the former St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Mary was a wonderful cook and baker, and was well known for her generosity.

She is survived by her son Andrew M. (Carol) Fabian of Beaver Falls, her 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, her sisters Viola Mine of Ellwood City, Rosemarie Moser of Franklin Twp., Jean Cummings, and Donna Rickert of Ellwood City, and her brothers Frank (Delida) Viccari, Domenic (Mary Ann) Viccari, Nicholas “Robert” (Patty) Viccari, and Donald (Sandra) Viccari all of Ellwood City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Brigida Lopiano Viccari, Her husband Andrew W. Fabian whom she married on April 13, 1943 and passed away on December 14, 1982, a son at birth, her sisters Elizabeth LaCava, and Antoinette Poerio, and her brothers Philip, Patrick, Anthony, and Ralph Viccari.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 9:20 am. Member of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday by 9:50 am to form an honor guard.

Mrs. Fabian’s family would like to thank everyone at the Beaver Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center especially the 2nd floor and Paula Freeland for the wonderful care that they extended to her.
