From exotic animal encounters to a trashion-fashion show, live performances, Eco-friendly vendors, and much more – The Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce put together an Earth Day celebration to remember.
While the annual event gets bigger every year, their newest addition to the celebration is the Trashion Show.
With over half a dozen local competitors, the Ewing stage was filled with fashionable trash outfits crafted completely out of recyclable materials.
The top three placers won a cash prize, third place won $50, second place won $75, and first place won $100 – but the main focus of the Trashion Show was to promote reducing, reusing, and recycling.
While we typically think of trash as something disgusting – the Trashion Show sheds a whole new light on what recyclable items can be used for.
Over all the show was a hit and the Chamber doesn’t show any signs of slowing down the expansion of Earth Day festivities.
