Ellen Mae Pishioneri, 84

Ellen Mae Pishioneri, 84, of North Sewickley Twp., journeyed through the gates of heaven on March 24, 2017 following a lengthy illness.

Born on October 13, 1932 in Appleton, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Harold “Curly” and Edna Mae Breuer. A 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School, she was married to James P. Pishioneri for 59 years and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2013. Together, they celebrated their two children, Susan A. (Pishioneri) Hallowich and Paul Pishioneri, both of whom survive, along with their spouses, Gregg Hallowich and Cassandra Pishioneri. Ellen Mae worked as an attendance secretary at Riverside High School before becoming a purchasing agent at Ellwood City Iron and Wire. She worked there until its closing. A lifetime member of Holy Redeemer Church, Ellen Mae embraced her faith with daily devotions and held her rosary, reciting every bead, not only for herself but for others in need.The memory of Grammy will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren; Justin (Meghan) Miller, Colton (Leigh Ann) Miller, Olivia Pishioneri, Jordan Pishioneri, Caitlan (Jared) Cable, Anthony Pansera, Branddon (Antoinetta) Hallowich and Jorrdyn Hallowich. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren; Gage and Bryce Miller, Garrett Miller and Maddyson Hallowich. She is also survived by her brother Harold “John” Breuer, sister-in-law, Betty Pesce, brother in laws Earl (Sylvia) Pishioneri and Albert Pishioneri, many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ellen Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Kohlmann and numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

The family extends their deepest appreciation for the compassionate care provided throughout Ellen Mae’s life to Dr. Mary Ann DiBiagio and staff, Dr. Timothy Schneider and staff, Amedysis Hospice staff and Medevac Ambulance staff.
