Michael J. Hervatine, 65 of Evans City passed away at VNA Hospice in Butler Twp. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 6:55 AM.
Born in Ellwood City on April 21, 1951, Mike was the son of the late Mike and Elizabeth Dici Hervatine. Mike is survived by his wife, the former Gwen Dee Lewis whom he married on November 25, 1995. Mike had worked as a delivery person for Print King. Mike also worked as a basketball official. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish. Mike was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School where he was an outstanding athletic in both football and basketball. Mike enjoyed golfing and hunting.
Besides his wife Gwen Dee, Mike is survived by his two sisters, Connie and Frank Sniezek of Wayne Twp. and his twin sister, Madelyn and Joseph Trocci of Ellwood City. Mike is also survived by his three nephews, Joey Trocci, Frank Sniezek and Mike Trocci.
Friends my call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mike at Holy Redeemer Church on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
