Concetta P. “Connie” Caminite, 93

ooMrs. Concetta P. “Connie” Caminite, 93, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital. Mrs. Caminite was born on September 1, 1923 in Ellwood City to the late Demeterio and Dena DePaul Parascenzo. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941, and later from the Bradford Business School. She had worked at J.C. Murphy, U.S. Steel Ellwood City plant as the time keeper during World War II, and then at the Ellwood City Hospital as the maintenance secretary. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Christian Mothers of the Holy Redeemer Parish. Connie was an active member of the Republican Party, the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary, Corona D’Italia, the March of Dimes, and had served on the After Prom Committee for many years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Caminite of New York, NY, Christine (Nick) Frisk of Franklin Twp., and Francine (Johnny) Bond of Ellwood City, her grandchildren, Kirby Ingold, Alexis DeGidio, Denna DeGidio, Kristen Dalton, Nicholas Frisk III, Breonna Frisk-Miller, Dominique Newman, Johnny P. Bond II, and Christopher P. Bond, and her twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Marino (Leona) Parascenzo of North Sewickley Twp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dominic J. Caminite whom she married on October 14, 1950 and passed away on November 12, 1992, her sisters, Mary Ann Ferruchie, and Henrietta Zona, and her brother, Hugh A. Parascenzo.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Holy Redeemer Church. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday by 12:50 pm to form an honor guard. Those attending the mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday by 12:20pm. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
