Susan D. Michels, 62, of Slippery Rock Twp. passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
Susan was born on July 31, 1954 in New Castle to David L. and Norma Shaffer Michels, Sr.. She is a member of the Laurel High School class of 1972. She had worked for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 30 years as a customer sales and service trainer. Susan is a member of The World of God Christian Fellowship, and Challenges. She enjoyed going to casinos, crocheting, and doing home improvement projects.
She is survived by her mother, Norma Michels of Slippery Rock Twp., her sisters, Ann (Steve) Zemko, Brenda (Dan) Diana both of Slippery Rock Twp., and Tricia (John) Vose of New Castle, her brother, David L. Michels, Jr. of Ellwood City, and her nephews, Kristoffer, Devon, and Avery Vose. She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Daniel Michels.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10-11 am in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A Memorial Service for Susan will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. John Dobritch officiating. Inurnment will be at the Mt. Hermon Church Cemetery.
