Mrs., of Perry Twp. passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Mrs. Schotsch was born on June 14, 1932 in Ellwood City to the late Patsy and Jennie Navolio DiMasi. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1950, and had graduated from Business School. Betty had worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, and later for the Ellwood City Area School District where she was an Elementary and High School secretary. She is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. Betty enjoyed reading, crocheting, working puzzles, cooking, baking, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (James) Reed of Austin, TX, Beth Ann Powell of Ellwood City, and Betty Schotsch of Perry Twp., her son, Joseph Martin (Anne) Schotsch of Darlington, her grandchildren, Michael (Shannon) South, Rebecca Schotsch, Katherine Schotsch, Jimmy (Liz) Reed, and Jennifer (Jason) McKee, her great-grandchildren, Marty and Lily McKee, and her sisters, Jean Voto, Patricia Zuk, and Rose Marie (Edward) Fox all of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Cheryl and son Jeffery in infancy, and her sisters, Margaret Esposito and Theresa Fiorante.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Holy Redeemer Church with her nephew Father Sam Esposito officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 9:20 am.
