Jean V. Correll, 95 of Trinity Oaks formerly of Schill Manor passed away at the Ellwood City Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
Born in Ellwood City on June 14, 1921, Jean was the daughter of the late Coulson and Lillie Miller Rice. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Correll on May 22, 2009. They were married on June 24, 1951. Jean and her husband worked as Houseparents at Mooseheart, IL. Jean was member of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church, she was also a former member of the Women of the Moose and 1939 graduate of Lincoln High School.
Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Tom White of Farmington, NY, a daughter-in-law, Ann Correll of Lake Wales, FL, 3 grandchildren, David & Kelly Correll, Nicole & Brandon Pierce and Bryan & Jamie White, 3 Great Grandchildren, Lucas Correll, Lilah Jean Correll and Ava Jean Pierce, a sister, Thelma Stenger of New Brighton, 2 sister-in-laws, Betty Rice of Ellwood City and Irene Rice of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by a son, Jay Correll and 3 brothers, Coulson, Melvin and Mervin Rice.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 1 to 2 PM.
A Memorial Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 PM by her pastor, Rev. Ray Medina.
