Pudue La Cava hosted the 1954 Lincoln Class “Life is a Beach” committee for a wrap-up meeting at her residence on Thursday, August 11. The session began with lunch provided by committee members, Ann Amadio, Paul Abraham, Arlene “Pinky” Maielli, Ilene Gardner, Glemmy Sirimarco, and La Cava. Gardner and La Cava served, Gardner later shared her birthday cake- prepared for her by Maielli.
Abraham conducted the business session that followed. He congratulated Gardner and her family for the total beach scene they created that enhanced the total party atmosphere for all the attendees. Maielli reported the food and table decorations were very much appreciated by all. LaCava presented the favorable remarks, emails, and correspondences received from classmates. Sirimarco gave the financial reports and all invoices and expenses were accounted and recorded. Abraham opened discussion for the next event to be held July 2017. The ever ready Garderner presented her preliminary plans for “a Night at the Movies” encompassing the years 1950 to 1955. Fund raising will continue with the monthly tickets being distributed by LaCava and Gardner. They are available by contacting any committee member. The next committee meeting will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 4 p.m. at the LaCava residence.
