Pudue La Cava hosted the final planning session of the Lincoln High Class of 1954 “Life is a Beach” committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home on Thursday, July 7 at 4 p.m.
Co-chairman Paul Abraham presided with the full committee in attendance. The session began with a luncheon provided by LaCava, Ilene Gardner, Ann Amadio, Patty Tino, Arlene “Pinky” Maielli, and Clemmy Sirimarco and was served by LaCava and Gardner.
The business session followed with a fundraising report by James Gillespie and financial report by Sirimarco. LaCava presented the reservation report with responses from classmates, noting they exceed the 2015 attendance. Mid-Atlantic Chairmen John and Patty Tino reported on the classmates in their area. Maielli presented the full menu of appetizers, buffet dinner, desserts and beverages that will be available.
Gardner outlined the total decor that will be set up with the assistance of her family and all the committee members. Gardner and Jan Keenan will photograph the total event. Amadio, Rose Massaro and Ellie Paul will register all the arrivals.
Abraham declared that all is in readiness for the Saturday, July 16 event at 3 p.m. at the Ellwood City Saxon Club. Late reservations will be taken at the door, if necessary.
