Patrick M. Moran, 81, of Fombell passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in his residence. Mr. Moran was born on May 22, 1935 in Franklin Twp. to the late Thomas J. and Anna Catherine Roth Moran.
Patrick had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in both Koppel and Beaver Falls for 33 years as a truck driver. He then worked for Ritter Engineering for 10 years in the janitorial department. He retired in 2000. Patrick absolutely enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a great babysitter to his great-grandchildren. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. He enjoyed bird watching and made it a year round hobby. He also enjoyed old western movies, old country music and WWE wrestling.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Ethel M. (Nye) Moran whom he married on Jan. 31, 1958, his daughter, Cindy (Neil) Peffer of Harmony, his sons, Bradley (Judy) Moran, and Michael (Connie) Moran both of Ellwood City, his nine grandchildren, Matt Peffer, Cassie Long, Travis Moran, David Moran, Stephanie Jenkins, Joshua Moran, Ryan Moran, Steven Yohman, and Amanda Hiler, his three great-grandchildren, Alania Peffer, Madeline Jenkins, and Thomas Moran. He is also survived by his sisters, Ellen Rugh and Katherine Hamilton both of Riverview, and his sister-in-law, Mary Moran of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Emma Frye, and his brothers, William and Thomas Moran. As per Patrick’s wishes there will not be a public visitation or service. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
