Two Ellwood and nine Riverside athletes qualified for the PIAA track and field championships at Shippensburg University.
Ellwood’s Taylor Petrak finished fourth in the 300 meter hurdles at the WPIAL track and field championships yesterday at Baldwin. The top five finishers advance to the PIAA. Billy Lott placed seventh in the 1600 meter run but his time of 4:26.57 automatically qualified him.
Goldie Bookamer placed eighth in the pole vault, earning a medal.
For Riverside, the following athletes advanced:
- Lance Fisher, Shot Put
- Brandon Tedrow, Pole Vault
- Jeremey Speicher, 300m Hurdles
- Calvin Wetzel, 300 m hurdles
- Skylar Rubsic, Calvin Wetzel, Jackson Coyne and Nate Brown: 4x4m relay
- Elsa Antal, 100 Hurdles and Long Jump
- Kara Seebacher, Pole Vault
