The Riverside Lady Panthers nearly had their first loss to Quigley Academy on Saturday, Dec. 12. Behind the entire game, Riverside launched a counterattack in the fourth quarter to make up the difference and come out ahead by four points.
Katie Stang scored 15 points, including three three-pointers, and Sydney Wolf had 12.
After the non-conference victory, Riverside traveled to Laurel for a section game on Monday, once again emerging victorious 58-38. In contrast to Saturday’s game, the Lady Panthers gained an early lead and maintained it through the game.
This time, Morgan Bailey was the highest scorer, with 16 points. Sydney Wolf once again scored in the double-digits with 14.
The Lady Panthers are now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in their class AA conference.
