Sue R. Simi, 89, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at 11:40 p.m. at Marion Manor in Greentree, Pa.
Born in Ellwood City on Jan. 7, 1926 Sue was the daughter of the late Pietro and Lilly Mariani Simi. Sue retired from Matthews Conveyor and later Ro-Mar Textiles. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and a former member of the Ellwood City Lioness Club. Sue enjoyed bowling and line dancing, but she enjoyed spending time with family and friends most of all.
Sue is survived by her sister, Erma Yanniello of Ellwood City, a niece, Loraine Iovannisci of North Port, Fla., a nephew, Dr. Gary Yanniello of Carnegie, Pa., two great nephews, Dean Barberio of Shreveport, La. and Robert Barberio of Redford, Mich. and a cousin, Janice Garda of Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Simi.
Services were private and interment took place in Locust Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
