Ellwood City Senior/Parent Recognition Night

The Senior/Parent Recognition Night will be taking place on October 20 and the schedule of events is as following: 6:00 – Parents/escorts arrive at Helling Stadium (please report to the end zone by the baseball field) 6:15 – Parents and athletes will be aligned alphabetically beginning with the football team 6:30 – Pre-game show Marching Blue Band 6:40 – Introduction of parents and athletes 7 – Riverside vs. Ellwood City


Lincoln Class of 1954 Monthly Meeting

Pudue LaCava hosted the Lincoln Class of 1954 “Nite at the Movies” committee wrap-up meeting on Thursday Auagust 18 at 1p.m. at her Mt. Vernon Drive home. The session began with lunch provided by the committee members and served by Ilene Gardner and LaCava. Dessert featured Gardner’s homemade pies in honor of the successful class event. Paul Abraham and James Spielvogel opened the business session. James Gillespie gave the fund raising report and distributed tickets for the August fund raiser.  He will continue the monthly fund raising to June of 2018. Skyla Greco didn’t allow a single hit as Wolverines defeated Steel Valley 5-0 on Tuesday. To get the final out Greco struck out Veronica Sikora pushing her game total to 14 strikeouts against three walks in the contest. Wolverines took an early lead in the second inning. A wild pitch by Samantha Arthrell scored one run for Wolverines.  For the game, the Wolverines ran rampid on the base paths as Anna Ferrucci, Ariana Garroway, Natalia Greco, and Reagan Mittler all collected stolen bases. Jeannette Throws Shutout as Riverside Panthers Varsity Defeats Lincoln

Adam Jeannette didn’t allow a single run as Riverside Panthers Varsity defeated Lincoln 10-0 on Wednesday. Jeannette allowed just two hits and struck out Roth to end the game. An early lead helped propel Riverside Panthers Varsity to victory. Riverside Panthers Varsity scored on a walk by Austin Dambach, a single by Gunnar Boehm, and a grand slam by Danny Fox in the first inning.
