Ellwood City Champion Returns to Basketball Court As Head Coach

Dena Noble has never been able to forget the feeling of being on a winning team. That adrenaline rush of hitting the basketball court is still a draw for Noble, who was recently named head coach of the Lincoln Girls Basketball Team. BREAKING: Fire Alarm Issue, Lincoln Students Sent Home Early

Lincoln High students are being sent home early today due to a fire alarm issue, the official statement is below: School Superintendent Joe Mancini stated: “During a routine monthly fire drill at Lincoln, it was discovered that half of the alarms, pulls and detectors were not functioning properly.  The alarm company was notified and sent a supervisor.  During his research, a short was discovered in the system for a certain area of the building.  Locating the short in the system could take some time without technicians.  It was decided at this time to close Lincoln for safety reasons.  At 11:30,…


Ellwood City Wolverines Notch Win Against Mohawk Area

Lincoln won 66-54 against Mohawk Area on Tuesday with the help of Broc Boariu, who scored 22 points. Ellwood City Wolverines pulled away early with a 22-point first quarter after an impressive 22-2 run, eventually claiming a 36-20 lead by halftime. With a field goal percentage of 47% (7-for-15), Boariu had a great game from the field, also sinking 50% (6-for-12) of threes attempted. Ellwood City Wolverines Fall Short Against New Brighton

Ellwood City’s pre-Christmas game against New Brighton, 12/22/2017 Despite Anthony Roth putting 26 points on the board, Lincoln lost to New Brighton 52-50. New Brighton (PA) locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a three pointer from Thomas Kirby. Despite a strong finish, with 16 points in the final quarter, Ellwood City Wolverines failed to secure the win. Season Tickets for Wolverines Basketball

Season tickets for the Ellwood City Wolverines Varsity Boys and Girls 2017/2018 basketball seasons will be on sale in the high school office. The cost is $20 for each season ticket. Tickets will be sold individually as a boys ticket and a girls ticket. Season tickets will also be sold at the games. General admission game tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for senior citizens.  Student Super Fan tickets will be sold in room 319. Student tickets will be $ 2.00 at the door.


Ellwood City School Board Regular Meeting Recap

With the newly elected board members among those in attendance, the Ellwood City School Board conducted its regular meeting and schedule of business Thursday night. Ellwood School District Explores Curtain Wall Project Options

The Ellwood City School Board is exploring options for Lincoln High to undergo what’s being called the Curtain Wall Project – an architectural renovation for more efficient insulation. A curtain wall system is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, utilized to keep the weather out and the occupants in. Since the curtain wall is non-structural, it can be made of lightweight materials, thereby reducing construction costs.
