Ellwood City Art Club Fair

The Ellwood City Art Club will be hosting their Art Club Fair on September 9, from 10:30-2:30 at their new studio location, The Family Center in Ellwood City. Participants will be able to dabble in a variety of art forms including painting, writing, photography, computer applications, and more. No experience is necessary and teachers will be on hand to help. There is no cost or age limit. Weekly classes are for high school students and up. Some special classes will be for younger children.


Back to School: Wolverines Football Site to Introduce HD Live Streaming

Along with the general yearly updates to the schedule and roster, the official Ellwood City Wolverines website is expecting to make further changes for this upcoming season, with the biggest alteration being the addition of high-definition live streaming for both home and away games. Sell Your Items at the Community Rummage Sale

The Ellwood City Women of the Moose Chapter 442 invite the community to their rummage sale event this Saturday to sell their items at a cost of $10.00 per table space. Spaces will be available on a first come-first serve basis. For those purchasing tables, doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Weather permitting any overflow will be able to set up outside. Anthony Tollari III’s Benefit will be September 23rd at the SOI Club, Ellwood City, PA. A Wing Fest it will be from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Wrap-up for the Four Day Bazaar

During the 51st Holy Redeemer four day annual Bazaar, monetary awards totaling $46,000 were awarded to ten lucky winners. The Bazaar concluded on a high note with the Summer-Cash Give-away marque award of $25,000. The awards are based on the PA Lottery evening first pick three- digit number drawn. The Lottery’s policy states that winners, if they allow their names to be publicized, will need to sign a lottery privacy clause release document. Adult Dance at Ewing Park Pool

The Ellwood City Borough Council Parks and Recreation Committee will be hosting the first Adult Dance at the Ewing Park Pool. The Committee has hosted a youth dance for the past two years and decided it would be a nice change to host an adult dance. “We decided to host the adult dance to give the older residents something to do, while also promoting our parks facilities – we are one of the few remaining local communities that still have a public swimming pool.” Judy Dici, a committee member stated. Waylon DelBoverlando is a two year old who suffers from a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease called Mucopolysaccharidosis, also known as Sanfilippo Syndrome. The Ellwood City Storytelling Festival, a free event, will be held on September 16 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Ewing Park. The festival is a beloved community event that features free activities for children and professional storytellers. This year’s theme “Into the Woods” will feature many tales.
