Stiefel Hockey Player Jon Sedgwick Plays Last Game Before Basic Training

Firing Squad 9, Marauders 4

  • Jake Krummert collected a hat trick and his brother Ben 4 points in the win for Firing Squad. Ryan Bartolomeo scored twice to lead the Marauders.  Good luck and thank you to Firing Squad’s Jon Sedgwick who added 3 points in his final game of the session before departing for basic training.

Craig’s Hardware 6, Honey Badgers 1

  • Dan Macuga picked up 2 goals and Mike Bauer tallied 3 points for Craig’s Hardware in their win.  Both goaltenders turned in strong performances with Jason Gonzalez collecting 33 saves for the Honey Badgers and Matt VanKirk stopping 18 of 19 shots in the win for Craig’s.

 

Turn4Toilets 6, Marauders 2

  • Shane Frum and Mike Farah both placed 3 points for the Toilet, while Drew Howell and Frank Todorich found the net for the Marauders in their loss.

 

Darkness 4, Firing Squad 3

  • After falling in the shootout last week, Darkness found the light in their win. Cliff Bryant led the way with 2 goals and an assist. Ben Krummert netted 2 goals for Firing Squad in a losing effort.

 

Turn4Toilets 8, Honey Badgers 1

  • Kevin Boariu notched 4 goals and Shawn Turner 4 assists in the Turn4Toilets victory. Goaltender Jimmy Ford stopped 11 of 11 shots from the Honey Badgers before Joe Corraini was able to break the ice with the Honey Badgers lone goal.

 

Rochester KM 5, Venezie’s Sporting Goods 2

  • Previously winless Rochester KM defeated previously undefeated Venezie’s Sporting Goods on a strong defensive effort.  Zach Faller and Matt Ledonne each scored 2 goals for Rochester in the upset.

 

Craig’s Hardware 12, Marauders 3

  • Craig’s Hardware advanced to 3-0 after recovering from an early Marauders lead to score one of the season’s biggest blowouts.  Don King picked up 2 goals for the Marauders in the loss, but the onslaught from Craig’s was too much.  Matt Stuber and Dan Macuga both picked up hat tricks to lead Craig’s.

 

Turn4Toilets 5, Venezie’s Sporting Goods 3

  • In a rematch of last year’s league semi-final, Turn4Toilets picked up the win in a tight contest. Ian Carney found the net twice in the win for Turn4Toilets while Steve Steffler tickled the twine 2 times to lead Venezie’s.

 

Darkness 7, Craig’s Hardware 6

  • It was a family affair in Darkness’s win over previously undefeated Craig’s Hardware. Antonio Allegra scored the game winner late in regulation while younger brother Emilio netted 2 goals in the win.  The Whalen Trio, Dennis, Travis, and Zack each collected goals in a strong effort from Craig’s.

Turn4Toilets 6, Rochester KM 1

  • Goaltender Jimmy Ford collected 18 saves to improve his league leading .877 save percentage in the win for the Toilets. Substitute goaltender Bronson Allman collected 32 saves in the first two periods for Rochester before succumbing to 5 goals in the 20 minutes by the Toilets.  Zach Faller collected the lone Rochester goal in the loss.
