The Ellwood City United Fund wants to thank everyone on the following list that has very generously provided funds to their annual fund drive. Goal – $50,000.00 Raised – $42,231.00 “HELP KEEP US COVERED” The Ellwood City area United Fund is closing its 2017-2018 campaign coming up $ 7769.00 short of its goal of $ 50,000.00. A few days ago, I was sitting in the waiting room at a doctor’s office in Cranberry Township, where I saw a magazine that had articles about the Christmas season, giving in kindness and love, and trying to reach out to others with gifts that keep on giving. Every year the Ellwood City United Fund asks for the community’s generous support so we can continue to help our friends, neighbors and family members need. The United Fund will start its annual campaign drive on October 1st for the year 2018. Over the past few years, we find ourselves behind in meeting weekly goals to reach the $50,000.00 that is needed to support the United Fund agencies. We usually receive donations and pledges that equal approximately 80% of what is needed. We would encourage everyone in the Ellwood City area to reflect on what they may share with others who are less fortunate than ourselves, so we can make a difference in their lives.
