Ellwood City Wolverines fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-1 loss to Riverside on Wednesday. Riverside scored on a single by Will Yasenka, a single by Anthony Tollari, and a fielder’s choice by Ricky Wass in the second inning. Riverside captured the lead in the second inning.    In the section opener for Ellwood City, the Wolverine bats heated up just like the weather. The offense banged out 13 hits in just 3 innings of work as the game was halted by the mercy rule.
