Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $18,035 in Scholarships This Year To Local Students

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones. Wolves Club president, Mike DeOtto commented, “Higher education puts students on the path to many different careers. Riverside High School’s promenade will mark the coronation of the Prom King and Prom Queen on Friday, May 13. Promenade is held at the high school beginning at 5:30, when students will first promenade in the gymnasium then proceed to the auditorium. Riverside Archery Team Hosting State Qualifying Tournament This Weekend

Riverside Archery’s first at home tournament is this weekend in the high school gym. The state qualifying archery tournament begins Saturday, with eight flights on the hour from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Individual awards for Top 5 girls and Top 5 boys in each division: Middle School and High School. Ellwood City Area Historical Society Offering Scholarship Opportunities

The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. The deadline is Thursday April 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1,500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors. Graduating seniors from Lincoln High School and Riverside High School who have been accepted to attend a college, Trade School or Performing Arts are eligible. The annual Riverside community event, Panther Night, kicked off back to school season Thursday evening at Riverside Memorial Stadium. The Riverside Beaver County School District is set to return to school on Tuesday, August 31st. The RBCSD District Board of Directors approved a Health and Safety plan to open school full-time for the upcoming school year.
