2023 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2023 Riverside Homecoming Court! The court was announced this week by the district and the queen will be crowned at halftime of the Riverside home football game next Friday, September 29th. The court (Pictured left to right) is Brooke Wissinger, Sianna Falk, Brooke Dougherty, Emma Thellman, Ryleigh Clyde and Breana Hyre. The Panthers host the Beaver Falls Tigers in section play.  Last year, Elizabeth Frazier was crowned the Riverside 2022 Homecoming Queen. The Riverside School District will host its The Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 30th from 7:30-10 at the high school.


Riverside Class of 2023 To Graduate Friday

The Riverside Beaver County School District Class of 2023 is set to graduate 108 seniors. Commencement will be held Friday, June 2nd at 6:00 at the Riverside football field. The rain date will be Saturday, June 3rd at noon if necessary. 2023 Primary Election Unofficial Results: Ellwood City Borough Council; Ellwood City and Riverside School Boards

Unofficial results from yesterday’s May 16, 2023 primary have been posted. Lawrence County According Lawrence County’s website, there were 13,266 ballots cast in Lawrence County. Of those, 6,434 were Democratic and 6,832 were Republican. The total voter turnout was 27.27% with 30.17% being Democratic and 25% being Republican. Click here for full unofficial results. Riverside Auxilary Band Hosting 2nd Annual Spin Camp

The Riverside Auxiliary Band is hosting its 2nd Annual Spin Camp. Students will be taught baton, flag, and dance basics. Students will use these skills to learn a routine that will be performed for parents at the end of the camp. At the end of camp, students in grades 6-11 will have the opportunity to sign up for the 2023-24 Marching Band season as part of the Auxillary Band. Riverside & Ellwood Students Lead Mock Trial Boot Camp

On Wednesday, December 7th, Wilmington Area School District hosted a Mock Trial Boot Camp led by students from Riverside Beaver County and Lincoln High School. Over 30 high school students from the three schools participated in the training. Following a brief introduction that outlined the difference between civil and criminal cases as well as proper court protocol, participants rotated among five stations to learn elements of Mock Trial. The elements included Opening Statement, Direct Examination, Cross Examination, Closing Argument, Objections and Improper Questioning. Riverside School District To Host Veterans Day Assembly

On Wednesday, Riverside High School will host its annual Veterans Day Assembly. The assembly this year will honor the four Riverside young men who lost their lives in Vietnam. In the fall of 2019, a Riverside graduate visited Riverside High School, asking about our Riverside boys who lost their lives in Vietnam. He explained that he was participating in the Honor Flight program that provides transportation for Vietnam veterans to visit the memorial in Washington DC, and he wanted to be sure to know all their names.
