Paving Set To Begin On Lawrence Avenue

As part of the ongoing PennDOT SR351 project, construction crews will start base repairs on Lawrence Avenue beginning Wednesday night and continue repairs through Friday night. According to borough manager Kevin Swogger, road work will be done between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Lawrence Avenue is due to expect paving this week. As part of the PennDOT SR351 project, Folino Construction will start milling and paving Lawrence Avenue and 5th Street on Monday, October 28, 2024. The topcoat will also be applied to Crescent Avenue in the coming days. Due to this project, parking on Lawrence Avenue and 5th Street will be prohibited for two weeks starting on Monday, October 28, 2024. “I appreciate your cooperation in advance,” says Kevin Swogger, Borough Manager. Borough Council Awards Paving Project; Releases List of Roadways

Ellwood City Borough Council voted unanimously Monday evening to award the bid for the 2021 paving program. The winning bid came from Youngblood Paving of Wampum in the amount of $372,111.24. The amount will be paid from the Liquid Fuel Fund.
