PHOTOS: Annual Memorial Day Parade

Ninety-degree heat welcomed the hundreds of onlookers spread across town Monday morning during the annual Ellwood City Memorial Day Parade. Youth organizations, marching bands, city and state officials, fire trucks, police cruisers, and other community members participated and marched in the parade honoring the men and women that died in military service for the United States of America. The parade took place across Ellwood City to Veterans Memorial Park where the closing ceremonies were held. Members of the Ellwood City Civic Chorale performed at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Wampum Area Christmas Parade Celebrates Dr. Seuss Publications

Wampum, PA – Each year, the Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee prepares floats that do not compete in the popular float contest. They like to add to parade line-up each to assure new and fresh content to complement the familiar traditions. Long time Parade Chairperson Donna Kuiken chooses themes that will delight the kids along the parade route. “It has always been about the kids,” she acknowledges. Memorial Day Parade Photos

Veterans & family members of Veterans will be carrying photos of their loved ones once again at this year’s Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29 at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate as the parade is open to members of the community to join. If you would like to march with a photo or ride in the parade, please contact: Scott Golmic, General Chairman of the Parade Committee at 724-816-0498. The deadline to submit photos to The Color Center is May 22nd. Your photo will be enlarged onto an 18-by-24 inch sign for only $12.00.
