Late Field Goal Lifts Riverside To 9-7 Victory Over Union

Gage Safran’s 38-yard field goal with 5:33 to play proved the difference in Riverside’s 9-7 victory over Union Thursday night at Union. The Panthers held a decisive advantage in total offense outgaining the host Scotties 364 to 147, but it wasn’t until a drive that began with nine minutes exact on the clock that they were able to take the lead back for good. Riverside Defeats Northgate 36-30

Mason Holler rushed for two third quarter touchdowns as Riverside rallied and held off Northgate 36-30 Friday night. Trailing 12-10 at halftime, the visiting Panthers used a 5-yard and 10-yard touchdown run by Holler to ease ahead 22-18 entering the final frame. Four area athletes will be represented at the annual Penn Ohio All-Star Game next Thursday. Riverside announced that three members of their 2022 football team have been selected to play in a notable game while Ellwood City will send one athlete from their 2022 team.
