Officer Involved Shooting in North Sewickley Township

A man was shot and killed by Pennsylvania state police in North Sewickley Township after assaulting and stealing the cruiser of an Ohio state police officer Friday, April 4. According to a state police press release, and at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Pennsylvania State Police were notified that an Ohio State Trooper had been assaulted and that the suspect had subsequently stolen the marked police vehicle. Beaver County Solar Farm In North Sewickley Township Denied Zoning Application

A proposed Beaver County solar farm in North Sewickley Township was denied a zoning application last Thursday. The proposed farm would be built on roughly eighty acres of wooded area. The company leasing the land, Penn Renewables, made its case in front of the zoning board and members of the public at the townships monthly. Penn Renewables partners with landowners and local communities to develop renewable energy projects that are environmentally friendly and safe. North Sewickley Twp Police Looking For Help Identifying Man

The North Sewickley Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man they say was loitering and prowling at night. According to police on their Facebook.com Page, the man was seen in the early morning hours Friday, October 6th in the area of Brighton Road.
