In November, Chive opened its doors on Lawrence Avenue. Coming Soon To Main Street

Unchained K9 Links Up To Ellwood City

Unchained K9 is a new, underground dog fence company local to Ellwood City. Dogs will wear a collar with radio frequency that alerts them when they try to approach/cross the underground wire. Owners Jim and Geri Lynn Cummings had come into this business on a whim. They had an underground dog fence for 11 years prior, and when they got a new puppy, it needed to be serviced. Big Shot Bobs (BSBs) has made its debut in Ellwood City. The ‘House Of Wings’ held their opening night on Monday, June 3 hoping for a decent turnout, and they got more than just that. With over 100 orders, a 90-minute long wait, and when their phone lines became completely unavailable, people started coming into the 2nd Street location, it’s safe to assume Big Shot Bobs will become a town favorite in no time. When local dog lover, Tim O’Brien (or more commonly known as T.O) acquired the property on 125 First Street, he wanted to do something different then the common bar and grill places located throughout the small town of Ellwood City. “Dog Gone” Bar & Restaurant Grand Opening

On Friday, March 15, Ellwood City Mayor, Borough Council Members, and an Ellwood Chamber representative attended the Grand Opening for the newest Ellwood City business, “Dog Gone” Bar and Restaurant. Dog Gone, located at 225 1st Street, features an outstanding menu that includes lamb chops and fish sandwiches as well as meatball sandwiches.  The owner Tim O’Brien and Mayor Court have been longtime friends and Court expressed how proud he is of both O’Brien and Hiler and wishes them both luck and success on this new adventure. Brewing Up New Ways To Preach

A Californian pastor is bringing a new way to teach the word of God to Ellwood City. On Saturday, January 12, Chris Swales opened the doors of the new coffee shop The Badlands on Fifth Street near the underpass. Swales is a California native who had been a pastor for The Badlands Ministry in California. Allen Chiropractic Cracks Open A New Location

Another new business is ‘cracking’ in downtown Ellwood City. Early in December local chiropractic practice, Allen Chiropractic made its way from Ellport to the main street of Ellwood. The practice is owned by John Allen. Previously, Allen Chiropractic had been located across the street from Culligan Water and was there for seven years.
