Lincoln High School’s 75th Annual Christmas Gift Concert

The Lincoln High Schools Choral Music Department is extremely proud to be presenting it’s 75th Annual Christmas Gift Concert on Sunday, December 16, at 3:00 p.m at Lincoln High School. The music department is dedicated to maintaining the wonderful tradition of excellence in choral music making began by the late Paul Gehm 75 years ago, which was continued by Sandy Lumley Garlick and the late Cindy Pertile. Wrestling Meeting To Be Held Monday

There will be a wrestling meeting for all parents with students in grades 7-12 at Riverside and Ellwood City who are interested in wrestling.   The meeting on Monday, November 19 beginning at 6:00pm. The meeting will take place in the Ellwood City School District cafeteria.  All interested in wrestling are welcome to attend the public meeting. Lincoln High School has 120 seniors graduating in the class of 2018. There are eight students who will graduate with high honors. The top eight students listed in alphabetical order: Michael J. Ace, son of Jennifer Ace, participated in the Carpenters Project and was a member of the gifted program, National Honor Society and drama club. BC3 and CCBC Come Together To Offer New Entrepreneurship Program to Ellwood City Area High Schools

On Thursday, May 17, officials from Butler County Community College, Community College of Beaver County, Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln and Riverside high schools had an announcing ceremony to kick off the RIV-ELL Entrepreneurship Program. The RIV-ELL Entrepreneurship Program is an enterprising partnership program between businesses, schools, colleges, service clubs and foundations in Ellwood City. Ten Lincoln and Riverside high school seniors this fall will be the first to capitalize on the new program. 2018 Historical Society Scholarship Awards Announced

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award the Robert and Janice Barensfeld Scholarships of $1,500.00 each to two (2) graduating seniors in 2018 who have been accepted into an institution of higher learning. Art Students Prepare Wreaths for Senior Citizens

To kick off the giving season, senior citizens in two local nursing homes will be receiving hand crafted wreaths early in December. Progressive Home Health, a Monaca based home health care agency serving senior citizens in the local counties, has teamed up with the art students at Lincoln High School to create wreaths to give to local elderly patients for Christmas. Emily Morris, a worker for Progressive Home Health, said in previous years they have had grade school students make cards for the patients, but this is the first year they have been able to coordinate the wreath project. “My…

Lincoln High School will be performing the classic tale, Little Woman as their musical this year. According to Laura Adam, the Musical Director, the musical will showcase the talent of the students who have dedicated a lot of time and energy to their roles. “We start a workshop in June with 3-4 different shows and choose the one that best suits the students.
