‘Let There Be Lights’ Weekend Of Events Start Friday

Kick off your Holiday’s with a series of events hosted by the Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce. First, on Friday, downtown will light up with the lighting of the holiday tree in the Ellwood City Community plaza at 7:30 p.m. as part of Ellwood City’s Light Up Night. Live entertainment will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the plaza and on Lawrence Avenue and fireworks will be set off behind the plaza after the tree lighting! Vendors of all kinds will be set up from 4th street through 6th street, along with horse drawn carriage rides…

PHOTOS: 2021 Ellwood City Light Up Night

Ellwood City held its annual Light Up Night in downtown Ellwood City on Friday with the official lighting of the Christmas tree and ensuing fireworks display. After a year hiatus, the event returned with various activities for families and vendors set up on Lawrence Avenue. A horse-drawn sleigh, a local singer, a DJ and a brass quintet playing Christmas carols all welcomed visitors for Ellwood City and the surrounding communities who descended on Lawrence Avenue for the evening. REMINDER: Local Holiday Events This Weekend!

Several holiday related events are schedule to take place this weekend to kick-off December and the holiday season. First, and on Friday, December 3rd beginning at 5:30 p.m., Ellwood City will be holding its annual Light Up Night in downtown Ellwood City. The official lighting of the Christmas tree will take place at 6:00 p.m. with fireworks afterward. There will also be various activities for families and vendors set up on Lawrence Avenue.
