Gentle Ben’s Giant Breed Rescue, a dog rescue in Zelienople, recently acquired a very unhealthy 11 week old puppy who was given away with a dog crate that was being sold. “Kelly, a very good friend mine, saw this sweet boy on some type of farm ad where the owner was selling a crate and said a puppy came with it. Fombell History Day is this Sunday, September 17th 1pm-5pm and held at Lillyville Church of God located at 408 Hickernell Rd, Ellwood City, Pennsylvania 16117. Ellwood City Historical Society Annual Picnic

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will host its annual picnic beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 11 in Ewing Park’s shelter No. 8, which is located in the back loop of the park. Pollution Control Project Funded in Lawrence County

Lawrence County Conservation District received $2,000 to implement a Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Project. “This grant allows our conservation district to address local pollution issues. We plan to educate local residents on how they can do their part to ensure there is enough clean water for future generations,” said Katie Schmidt, Watershed Specialist. Education and outreach about the project began in May of this year, and the District is continuing to look for volunteers. Adam Tatusko, the 32-year-old who was accused of sexually assaulting a young boy in the Chippewa Walmart bathroom appeared in court last Thursday. According to other news sources, Tatusko has intellectual disabilities and was accompanied to the Chippewa Walmart and McDonald’s, where he tried to grab another young boy, by a caretaker from a private agency. He was allowed to go to the bathroom by himself. Troopers, BC3 Police Investigate After Private Cadaver Dogs’ Alert on Campus

Butler, PA- An investigation by state police at Butler and Butler County Community College campus police continued Tuesday morning in a wooded portion of BC3’s main campus in Butler Township, where private cadaver dogs last weekend reportedly alerted handlers when approaching a mound of construction debris. Investigators processed the scene, according to Scott Richardson, BC3’s director of campus police and security. There did not appear to be recent activity near the construction debris, Richardson said Monday.
