Houston, TX – Tenaris is gearing up to reactive its heat treatment and finishing lines at its Koppel, Pennsylvania, plant to streamline the flow of seamless product at its facilities in the northeast. The heat treatment line is part of the manufacturing process which gives pipe their required metallurgical properties for enhanced performance in oil and gas wells. Steel production is now underway at Tenaris’s first melt shop in the United States that will soon supply steel bars for its seamless pipe mills in the States and Canada. According to its website news release, Tenaris is pushing ahead with plans to increase its operations across the US, bringing its facilities, including its Koppel and Ambridge plants, back online.
