Tenaris-Owned Steel Recycling Services Acquired Koppel Scrap Processing Yard

Tenaris announced this week that its subsidiary, Steel Recycling Services, has acquired the Beaver Falls scrap processing yard from SA Recycling. The yard is located adjacent to Tenaris’s steelmaking facility in Koppel, Pennsylvania, and it covers approximately 39 acres. The investment enables Tenaris to integrate its steel production with scrap processing, streamlining and optimizing its production process in the US, and strengthening its domestic manufacturing capabilities. SA Recycling will continue operating the yard during a transition period, until early 2026. Koppel Borough To Receive $75,000 For Community Park Project

Koppel Borough will receive $75,000 for its community park project. The funding is part of state funding for six community parks and open space projects in Beaver County. “I’m very pleased to announce state funding to help local communities pay for these worthy projects,” Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) said. “Creating useful open space and upgrading playgrounds for children expands opportunities for fun, exercise and outdoor recreation.” The grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. GetBlok Farms of Aliquippa will receive $47,500 for its Franklin Avenue open space project. Hopewell Township will receive $86,730 for improvements to the playground…

Koppel Borough Celebrating Grand Opening Of New Park

Koppel Borough will be celebrating the grand opening of the Koppel Playground on Saturday, October 26th with an official ribbon cutting. “This playground will be the first playground that Koppel has had in a number of years,” said Koppel Mayor Athena Pangikas-Miller. Pangikas-Miller said there used to be one where the old Koppel school was, but once the school was sold it was gone. “It’s an exciting advancement that Koppel is going to get to have this. Koppel Borough Among Municipalites Granted Funds For Community Improvement Projects

HARRISBURG – Several area and nearby municipalities will receive state funding for community improvement projects according to State Sen. Potter Baseball Tour Comes To Koppel Friday

On Friday July 17th, the Potter Baseball Tour will be coming to the Koppel Borough baseball field. Renovations will start at 7:00 AM and they need all the help they can get with a minimum need of 60 workers including volunteers and players.
