The devastation of Hurricane Helene throughout Tennessee and North Carolina is unprecedented. Thousands of people are stranded without food, water, electricity, and other necessities. Those spared by the storm are doing everything possible to help those in need. CCBC honors and air traffic control student Meredith Cote is one of those people. Local Donation Effort For Hurricane Milton Victims Begins This Week

Less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene made landfall on September 26th plowing through the South, a second hurricane ravished the southern landscape. Hurricane Milton made landfall on October 9th on the west coast of Florida, knocking out power to more than 3 million customers and whipping up 150 tornado warnings. As the region begins to recover and rebuild, a second local donation effort by Franklin Township will be accepting items for Hurricane Milton victims beginning on October 14th.
