Lent Fish Fry Season Is Here! Divine Grace Parish will host a fish fry on Ash Wednesday, February 18th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Center, 311 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City. Come enjoy golden fried or bake fish, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and a slice of cake. Dine in or take out. Dinners are $16, Sandwiches are $10, and extra sides are $3. Richard Hogue Replenishment Blood Drive Scheduled For November 8th

The annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive has been announced and scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Hogue was only 28 when his life was taken on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club. Holy Name Society Installs New Members

The mission of Divine Grace Parish’s Holy Name Society at Holy Redeemer Church is to promote reverence for the sacred names of God and Jesus Christ and help members grow in holiness. They’re also growing in number. Society president Frank Aloi says 23 new members recently were installed, bringing total membership to nearly 100. Men are invited to join. Holy Name Society president, Frank Aloi welcomed the attendees and guests at the picnic, which included the seven most recent HNS members in attendance. On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Divine Grace Parish’s Holy Name Society gathered for the annual Altar Server Appreciation Tribute at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. It was a morning brimming with joy, celebration, and gratitude at the 9 a.m. Mass. Holy Redeemer Holds Annual Memorial Mass & Tribute

On Sunday November 12th the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church’s Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 11389 conducted its annual memorial Mass and commemorative tribute to their recently deceased members at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Following Mass, breakfast, including a memorial program, was held in the Catholic Center honoring their lives. Special Activities Group of the Holy Redeemer Church Celebrates 60th Anniversary

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, members of the Special Activities Group of the Holy Redeemer Church met to celebrate their 60th Anniversary. Fifty four members and their guests were present and enjoyed a meal of chicken marsala, beef tips, meatballs and pasta. John Biondi presented a history of the Special Activities Group (fondly called SAG). The Group was created in 1963 by parishioners who wanted to assist in funding non-budgeted items the school and church would need during a year.
