Borough of Ellwood City Sponsoring Community Food Drive

The Borough of Ellwood City is proud to announce a Borough wide food drive to benefit the Divine Grace Food Pantry. If you are interested in hosting a box in your business, please email rschnell@ellwoodcityborough.com. If you would like to donate items for the food pantry, there will be a box for donations at the Utility Billing Window in the Municipal Building. Below is a list of the most requested items per the food bank. Thank you for supporting our friends and neighbors through the Holiday Season!


Vogel Announces September Food Drive During Hunger Action Month

HARRISBURG – Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) will be holding a food drive throughout September in honor of Hunger Action Month in Pennsylvania and across the nation. Vogel’s Rochester and Cranberry Township district offices will be accepting unexpired, non-perishable food items Sept. 3 – 30. At end of the month, food items will be donated to a local food bank. The Borough of Ellwood City is proud to announce the launch of a Borough wide Food Drive to support the Holy Redeemer food bank for the holidays. Boxes for businesses interested in participating may be obtained by emailing rschnell@ellwoodcityborough.com. Boxes for donations will also be located near the Utility Billing Window at the Borough of Ellwood City. Most requested items include stuffing, yams, sweet potatoes, turkey gravy, canned vegetables, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes, mac and cheese, pie crust, pie filling, corn bread mix, banana bread mix, cake mix, and icing. Jubilee Ministries International (JMI) Nourishing Others Well-Being (N.O.W.) Riverside Lions Club Stays Busy With Hygiene Helpers, Food Drives

The Riverside Lions would like to thank the residents of the Ellwood City area and particularly Ellport for supporting our collections recently of both food supplies for the Holy Redeemer Food Bank and the Hygiene Helpers boxes located at the Franklin Township Giant Eagle and area Dollar General stores. The club has tried to stay busy in these unusual times according to King Lion, Chip Campbell. LHS Caring Team Accepting Donations During Senior Night Basketball Game

The Lincoln High School Caring Team will be accepting donations for the community food bank before the boys’ final home basketball game Tuesday night. Fans attending the Senior Night game are asked to bring non-perishable food to help support people in our community who are facing food insecurity.
