ECASD to Get Weapon Detection System

The Ellwood City Area School District will be getting a very smart weapon detection system. 2024 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2024 Riverside Homecoming Court! Ellwood City Announces 2024 Trick or Treat Night

Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Borough of Ellwood City has decided to change Trick or Treat night from previous years. In prior years it was held on Halloween night, but this year Ellwood City has announced it will now follow the annual Halloween parade – Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Mayor Court’s office announced in a statement that the borough is going to try this new date/time on a trial basis. “I want to make this change and see how it works and hopefully it is better for all involved,” said Court in an…

Borough Manager: Ellwood City to Host Innovative Readiness Training (IRT)

Ellwood City Borough Manager Kevin Swogger announced during Monday night’s regular meeting of the Ellwood City Borough Council that Ellwood City will be the home of Innovative Readiness Training (IRT). IRT is a Department of Defense (DoD) military training opportunity, exclusive to the United States and its territories, that delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness. Simultaneously, IRT provides key services (health care, construction, transportation, and cybersecurity) with lasting benefits for communities.
