Meet the Cast Part 1: Little Woman

Lincoln High School will be performing the classic tale, Little Woman as their musical this year. According to Laura Adam, the Musical Director, the musical will showcase the talent of the students who have dedicated a lot of time and energy to their roles. “We start a workshop in June with 3-4 different shows and choose the one that best suits the students. We chose Little Woman because they all seem to enjoy the relatabilty of the characters despite the Civil War setting. Ellwood City Moose Christmas Fair

The Ellwood City Moose, 1400 Factory Ave. will be having a Christmas Fair on Sunday December 3rd from 10am – 3pm. This is the first year the Moose is having the event, which will be open to the public and will feature local vendors of all kinds, Christmas crafters, a concession stand, food and bake sale, and a Chinese auction. There will be 18-20 hand crafters, wreathes, hand painted bottles, leather, and others. There will also be consultants like Luluroe, health and beauty, nail art, Tupperware and others. Meet the Candidates Recap

Yesterday evening held the final Meet the Candidate session for this local election. Four council seats and four school board seats are up for election. All school board candidates were present except for Norm Boots. Less than half of the council candidates were present for the meeting. Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities for Week of November 6, 2017

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following: Tuesday, November 7, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. — Family Laptime, designed for babies as young as 6 months of age, toddlers and preschoolers. Carnegie Free Library Fall Fundraiser

The Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls is hosting A Novel Event, featuring local authors’ books for sale and signing. The date of the event is Saturday, Nov. 18 – the same day as the Beaver Falls Business Open House. “What makes this doubly exciting is that the Beaver Falls Businesses are having an Open House on the same day,” Jean Barsotti, MSLS, Director stated. The five-hour event includes a variety of raffle baskets, and cookies and beverages for sale to supplement the author book signing. More event information is on the flyer below.


PHOTOS: Mayor Court Hands Out Halloween Candy

Mayor Court enjoyed an evening handing out candy to Ellwood City children who participated in the annual Halloween Night tradition.  Many children were out, regardless of the cold, to show off their great costumes and be treated with candy from residents all over town. Wampum Area Christmas Parade Treat Sign-ups

The Wampum Area Christmas Parade is on  Dec. 2nd 2017 at 1 pm.  As in previous years, children aged 12 and under can meet Santa after the Parade in the gymnasium and Santa will give them a treat bag.  However, children must be registered in advance for the treat bag.  Treat bags are free to Wampum area children.
