Bernstine Backs Pension Reform to Better Protect Taxpayers

HARRISBURG – Rep. Hartman Students to Showcase Robotic Creations at Public Event

The fifth and sixth grade students from the Hartman Arts and Bot Summer School Club will be showcasing their work Friday June 9th from 9:30-11AM at Ellwood City Public Library. Animated robotic animals from the picture book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do See? by Erie Carle will be on display. Mentored by teachers, Alan Marsh, Matt Skoczylas, and Scott Setzenfand, students built robots from cardboard and craft material. Using a “Hummingbird Kit” circuit board, they programmed the robots to light up and move! Teddy Bear Run to Benefit Akron Children’s Hospital

The God Chasers Motorcycle Club is taking donations for their Teddy Bear Run event to benefit children at the Akron Children’s Hospital. Mayor’s Advisory Meeting Recap

On Thursday, May 25, 2017 the Mayor’s Advisory Committee met in Mayor Courts Office. Discussion included the parking ticket issue on Wampum Avenue, complaints voiced concerning a large black dog around Crestview and Skyline Drive. Mayor Court is urging people to trim their hedges when they get too high so that they do not obstruct traffic. The fight against drugs continues with 393 arrests since Mayor Court took office. The Sweet Shop Opening This Weekend

According to a live video posted by the owners of the Sweet Shop, the Lawrence Avenue shop is set to open this Saturday, June 3! They will be open from 8a.m. until the evening and will offer customers a variety of home made cookies, cupcakes, candy, chocolate covered fruit, and ice cream. “We are so excited and we hope Ellwood is just as excited as we are.” Watch their posted video below:
