Library Activities For The Week of June 15

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. NOTE The Library will be taking return books in specially marked bin in the Library parking lot Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Bins are for Library books and Inter-library Loan books only. Please do not put donated books into the bins. There is one bin specially marked for just audio books on CD, CD’s and DVD’s. Please keep watch for our curbside service coming soon! The Re-Opening Of Ellwood City Public Library

The Ellwood City Public Library, as well as all public libraries in the state of Pennsylvania, was closed to the public on March 14th and all other services were placed on hiatus due to COVID-19. For the past 10-weeks, due to the closing order from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries part of the Department of Education), staff members joined the rest of the nation in the work from home order. Now with the state re-opening, the libraries will also be using their own re-opening system to help ensure further safety. Further, all due dates have been waived and no books…

Ellwood City Public Library Closes To Coincide With School Closures

On Friday, and in advance to the national state of emergency declaration, the state of Pennsylvania stepped up containment efforts by ordering a two-week closure of all public schools and urging residents to stay away from malls, gyms and other public spaces. In accordance, the Office of Commonwealth Libraries has instructed all Pennsylvania public libraries to close Saturday through March 29, to coincide with the school closure. The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
