PHOTOS: LHS 2021 Graduation

After a rain cancellation caused Lincoln High School to move their graduation day, the Class of 2021 finally got to accept their diplomas. The Class of 2021, along with friends and family, all gathered together on Monday at Helling Stadium to see the students receive their diplomas. Even though the rain was still there on the big day, that didn’t stop the graduates from walking across the stage and getting the diplomas that they all worked so hard for. Lincoln High Senior Receives The Holy Redeemer Social Club Scholarship

Emily Borroni, a senior at Lincoln High School was awarded the Holy Redeemer Social Club Scholarship on May 24th at the organization’s monthly meeting. Emily, the daughter of Jeff and Stephanie Borroni of Ellwood City, was presented with the award by President John Pansera. The $1,000.00 scholarship is presented to a graduation senior and member of the parish who provides superior service to her parish, community and school. WXED to Air Live Wolverines Football Coverage

Ellwood City’s very own radio station, WXED, will now be airing the Wolverine’s home games live, hosted by their resident on-air personality, Troy Robert. First Game of Season: Wolverines Vs. Central Valley

The Ellwood City Wolverines football team will be challenged by Central Valley this Friday during their first official match of the season. The game will be played at Helling Stadium and presale tickets are now being sold. Tickets can be purchased at the high school’s main office today, Thursday 8/31, from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm and tomorrow, Friday 9/1, from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. The cost of the tickets are as follows: Students $1.00 Adults $4.00 No student tickets will be sold at the gate on Friday all tickets will be $5.00.

Back to School: Updated Art Studio

The Ellwood City School District students are officially back to school starting today! As with every new school year, things change, usually for the better and the benefit of the students. This year one of the biggest renovations the Ellwood City High School made is an updated art classroom and studio. Schedule of Events: Pie Festival

The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24 at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. Along with the general yearly updates to the schedule and roster, the official Ellwood City Wolverines website is expecting to make further changes for this upcoming season, with the biggest alteration being the addition of high-definition live streaming for both home and away games.
