EC Boys Golf Remains Unbeaten, Girls Tennis Victorious, ECXC Sweeps

The Ellwood City boys golf team defeated Mohawk on Wednesday afternoon to remain unbeaten in its regular season. Four Wolverines shot sub-40 as Ellwood City won 191-240 at Del Mar Golf Course. Luca Carsele, Gino Biondi, and Adam Jeffcoat each shot 37 while Cam Keller joined with a round of 39. Dante Venezie rounded out the scoring with a round of 41 for the victors. Wolverines Tennis Team Qualifies For WPIAL Playoffs For The First Time Since 2009

The Ellwood City boys tennis team has qualified for the WPIAL Playoffs for the first time since 2009. The team will await playoff pairings for the WPIAL Class 2A team playoff set to take place May 6th at the Janet L. Ellwood City Tennis will be conducting a tennis clinic for any boy or girl interested in learning the basics of tennis. The tennis clinic will be held on June 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2025 at the Ewing Park Courts from 10am to 11:15am. Any child ages 5-12 is eligible to sign up and participate. Ellwood City Girls Volleyball has officially started for the Lady Wolverines as they defeated the Ambridge Bridgers in three straight sets to pick up the early season victory.
