Ellwood City Cheerleaders Hosting Color Run On August 12th

The Ellwood City Cheerleaders will be hosting its 5k Color Run in August. The event is its annual 5k the cheerleaders host each year with the exception of 2020 because of COVID-19. The run is fun for all ages and athletic abilities. The run consists of participants going through the nature trail and circling around Ewing Park. “Some people walk the 5k and some are more serious and want to run,” says LHS Cheer Booster Tresurer, Nicole DiCerbo. Date Released For 2018 Ellwood City Powderpuff Games

This years Ellwood City Powderpuff games will be played on Wednesday, November 14. The games will be played at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Between the 81 girls signed up to play, freshman will play against the sophomores, with the big game of the juniors playing the unbeaten senior team. The games are a big fundraiser for the cheerleaders. The money not only goes towards their banquet in February, but they will also be making a donation for Club Hope at Lincoln High School. Ellwood City Junior High Cheerleaders Painting Paw Prints

The Ellwood City Junior High Cheerleaders are painting paw prints across Lawrence Ave. today as well as making their way all over Ellwood City as a fundraiser for the cheer-leading boosters. The girls line a paw print stencil with chalk and then hand paint the paw print on the cement.
