Dunkin’ Grand Opening Set For Monday, August 19th

Ellwood City runs on Dunkin’ The new Ellwood City Dunkin’ location is set to hold its grand opening on Monday, August 19th. This official announcement was provided this week by its franchise group, Heartland Restaurant Group. According to Larry Mench, Sr. Director of HR, Training & Development, the new location will open at 4:30 a.m. on August 19th. Ellwood City Borough Council Approves New Conditions for Dunkin’ Location

Ellwood City Borough Council voted to rescind the request by Fifth and Spring, LLC in regards to a Dunkin’ fast food restaurant at the intersection of Fifth Street and Spring Avenue approved during their May 15, 2023 meeting. At that time, council unanimously approved the 2,060 square foot facility as well as a drive thru contingent on the following conditions: No egress permitted onto Fifth Street from the Dunkin’ parking lot; right hand and left-hand turn from the drive thru lane onto Fifth Street; And moving a curbside pickup spot to the middle of the parking lot. Ellwood City Borough Council approved requests by Fifth and Spring, LLC in regards to a Dunkin’ fast food restaurant at the intersection of Fifth Street and Spring Avenue. Borough Council to Hold Public Hearing Regarding Dunkin’

Ellwood City Borough Council announced during the April 17 regular meeting that they will hold a public hearing to consider a conditional use request from Dunkin’ on May 15 at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Borough Building’s Council Chambers on the second floor. Borough Manager Kevin Swogger said the borough will be applying for a Lawrence County Liquid Fuels Grant to help offset the costs of the 2021 Road Improvement Project. Dunkin Donuts Opts Out Of Ellwood City Location

The long anticipated plans and hopes for a Dunkin Donuts at the corner of 5th Street and Spring Avenue have now been canceled. “There were too many assemblage issues with the parcels,” said Mr. Ed Jaten, spokesman for Heartland Restaurant Group (HRG).
