The annual Ellwood City Halloween Parade took place Saturday afternoon along Lawrence Avenue in downtown Ellwood City. Thousands flocked to the sidewalks to watch and collect candy tossed from the many floats and participants in the parade. The Borough of Ellwood City modified its Trick or Treat schedule for this year, announcing it would take place Saturday evening after the parade. DON’T FORGET! Public Meeting Planned To Review Ellwood City Downtown Development Project

The Borough of Ellwood City is conducting a public open house meeting to review and discuss design development plans and a preliminary engineering report prepared for the Ellwood City Downtown Central Business District Revitalization and Economic Development Project. Beneigh Insurance has made its way into downtown Ellwood City this summer, taking over the old Wilson Insurance building, located on Sixth Street, in July. Community Members Encouraged to Partake in Ellwood City Clean Up Day

On Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 11a.m. – 2p.m., Mayor Anthony J. Court in conjunction with the Jeff Potter Baseball Tour will have an Ellwood City Clean Up Day.  This is a “Community Wide” event and everyone is invited to participate. Those participating will meet at the Ewing Park Pool Parking Lot prior to 11:00 am. After the clean-up, those participating will be at 1:45 p.m. at the Lions Club Shelter, inside Ewing Park. Vests, gloves and bags will be available for the clean-up and drinks and a lite snack will be provided by McDonalds, Johnny’s and Red Hot.
