The devastation of Hurricane Helene throughout Tennessee and North Carolina is unprecedented. Thousands of people are stranded without food, water, electricity, and other necessities. Those spared by the storm are doing everything possible to help those in need. CCBC honors and air traffic control student Meredith Cote is one of those people. Donation Made To ECPD K9 Fund and Youth Bureau Program

A $5,000 donation through the efforts of the KC Venezie Charitable Foundation and Mayor Anthony J. Court was made this week to the Ellwood City Police Department K9 Fund and Youth Bureau Program. The donation was provided to help support the police departments programs that assist with community protection and safety. Knights Of Columbus Provided Donation To Divine Grace

The Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 11389 provided a $500 donation to the Divine Grace Ministerium Social Services this week Pictured below and receiving the check are Jan Baur and Cathy DeBlaso, co-directors of Social Services. Hank Glogowski, Grand Knight and Social Services Volunteer is on the right. Rotary Club of Ellwood City Delivers Water to East Palestine

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City delivered three pallets of bottled water on Friday to East Palestine, Ohio. The club is now sponsoring a community-wide initiative in conjunction with Tomon Funeral Home and Trinity Lutheran Church to collect other items the residents need. Items needed include bottled water, paper towels, white vinegar, bleach-free cleaning products, Dawn dish soap, laundry detergent, rolls of quarters, personal care items, dog and cat food. Michael’s Furniture Plus, conducted a very successful charitable promotion this year that resulted in an impressive amount of money being donated to a great cause. Michael’s pledged to donate $50.00 to the Club Hope Foundation for every Ellwood City Varsity Football touchdown scored this season. Meals On Wheels Receives Donation From Ellwood City Wolves Club

On Wednesday, February 23, the Ellwood City Wolves Club presented a donation to the Ellwood City Meals on Wheels Program Director Terri Crespo. Terri presented the history of the program which started in at the Calvin United Presbyterian Church. It moved to the Ellwood City Hospital. When the Ellwood City Hospital closed the Calvin United Presbyterian Church again agreed to host the program. The program serves 80 people in the greater Ellwood City area.
