Ellwood City Wolves Club Monthly Meeting Notes

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 met at the Connequenessing Country Club on Wednesday October 22, 2025. The members and guests were recognized for their participation in the recent Oktoberfest held on October 5, 2025 in Ewing Park. Chairman Dennis Boariu reported on the success of the Oktoberfest raising $26,202, which is primarily used for scholarships. The Wolves Club moto is Pro Bono Publico which means “for the good of the public” and selects a community group each year to benefit from their fundraising programs. Tony Barge A Bit Hit At Historical Society Dinner

Those who attended the Ellwood City Area Historical Society’s 38th season kick-off dinner held at the Connoquenessing Country Club on September 8th were treated to a toe-tapping music session by the incomparable Tony Barge. The meeting, the first of the 2025-26 season for the Society, was a great beginning as Barge not only entertained with some country music classics, but also gave an interesting background of the country music genre in the Ellwood City area. Ellwood City Wolves Club Hosts Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner Honoring Eight Scholarship Recipients

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 hosted their annual Scholarship Awards dinner on Wednesday May 28, at 6PM, at the Connequenessing Country Club. The club awards eight scholarships to eight students from the Ellwood City and Riverside School districts. Invocation was offered by Reverend Todd Custer of Christ Presbyterian Church. Club members, students and their families, enjoyed a buffet of carved roast beef, champagne chicken, penne in vodka sauce, mashed redskin potatoes and summer vegetable medley.
