Backyard Composting Workshop Planned

Have you ever wanted to learn how to compost in your own back yard but didn’t know where to start? Attend one of three upcoming workshops to learn the basics of composting at home. Not only will you learn how easy it is to compost, but you’ll also learn how something as simple as composting can make a huge impact on the well-being of our environment, community, health, and climate. Composting & Rain Barrel Workshop Planned

The Lawrence County Conservation District and the Lawrence-Mercer Recycling/Solid Waste Department are partnering on a workshop about about rain barrels, stormwater management, backyard composting, rain gardens and more! Not only will you learn how to collect and use these resources, but you’ll also learn about their importance to you, your community, your climate and your environment.
