Moose Club Collecting Items For Community Food Drive, Hosting Sub Sale

The Ellwood City Moose Club will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Ellwood City Community Food Drive. The club will collect food items until November 14th and new/very lightly used coats until November 30th at the club for the Divine Grace Parish Winter Coat Drive. Ellwood City Moose Club is also hosting a sub sale fundraiser on Saturday, November 15th: 12″ American or Italian Subs $10 available starting 9:00 a.m. at four area locations (see attached picture)


Riverside Lions Club Provides Community Support Updates

The Riverside Lions Club continues its community support through various programs and donations. The club offers a series of updates below spotlighting their recent efforts: The club started off the new segment by participating in a District Soup Assembly. Under the supervision of PDG’s Jeff and Maria Laudermilk (Riverside/Hopewell Lions) members from different clubs in the District met at the Butler Blind Association to assemble the equivalent of 9000 dry soup meals. Cubs Scouts Hosting Winter Coat Drive

The Arrow of Light (Fifth Grade) Den of the Ellwood City Pack 806 Cub Scouts is hosting a winter coat drive. They are collecting gently used men’s, women’s and children’s coats which the boys will deliver to the New Castle City Rescue Mission in December for distribution. Collection bins have been placed at Ellwood Ice on Lawrence Avenue, the Ellwood City Municipal Building, and Ellwood City Public Library.
