Ellwood Area Family Center Hosting Youth Baseball Clinic

The Ellwood Area Family Center will be hosting a youth baseball clinic in March. The goal is to enhance youth baseball in the community and will be open to players ages 9-12. “Our goal is to enhance youth baseball in the community,” says Family Center director, John DiBuono. “Proper fundamentals and baseball techniques will be taught.  Base running, throwing, catching, and batting stance will be the focus of the clinic.” The clinic will be run by Coach Jeff Fotia, former Ellwood City high school baseball coach who won multiple section titles and a PIAA state championship in 2003. The Ellwood Area Family Center will be hosting a youth golf program beginning in late February. The golf program will be held at the Ellwood Area Family Center on the North Side of Ellwood City on Tuesday evenings beginning on February 18th.  The clinic will run four five consecutive Tuesdays and will be available for ages 9, 10 and 11. Upcoming BC3 Clinics To Help Girls Gain Volleyball Skills

Girls as young as fifth-graders can develop skills in volleyball by attending Butler County Community College clinics directed by a BC3 head coach whose players have won 475 matches and earned 14 All-American awards. BC3’s winter skills clinic Jan. 25 will be followed by one-day spring skills clinics that will also be held on Saturdays in February, March and April. The basketball sessions will be held at the Ellwood Area Family Center on the North Side of Ellwood City on Tuesday evenings beginning on October 15th.  The clinic will run four five consecutive Tuesdays and will be available for Grades 3-4 and Grades 5-6.  The clinic will be coach by Bob Rak. FREE Co-Ed Basketball Camp To Be Offered At Ewing Park Courts

A free, five-day co-ed basketball camp is scheduled to begin at the Ewing Park Basketball Courts from Monday, July 29th thru Friday, August 2nd. Coaches Al Campman, Bob Rac, Herm Petti and Joe Fisher will host the camp that will run from 10 a.m. till noon during the week. Any boy or girl ages 7–11 are welcome to participate.
